Dreadlabs is a one-man show. Over the past few years I (Tom, that dude in the picture) have made hundreds of tutorial videos for graphic designers, motion designers and creative freelancers. All of that knowledge is available to you, for free. The same goes of course for the free asset packs and resources.
Sadly, that’s not the case anymore. I depend on the algorithms of YouTube and other social media platforms to show my videos to people. And no matter how hard I try, sadly not enough people are watching my tutorials as of 2025. Not enough to make a living off off at least.
That doesn’t stop me from sharing weekly tutorials however. As long as there’s even a handful of people getting value out of my tutorials, I will try to keep making them. This proves to be more and more difficult however. Everything is more expensive nowadays and I have to pay my bills every month, just like everyone else.
To give you an idea, maintaining the Dreadlabs platform takes me around 3 days a week. During an average week I am doing research on graphic design trends to come up with new tutorials, writing scripts for tutorials and of course recording and editing these videos. On top of that I do my own customer support for the website, moderate my Discord community, maintain the website itself and do my dreaded social media management. During the rest of my week I mostly spend working on freelance projects to help me pay my bills.
In an ideal world I would earn enough in these 3 days to cover my bills and save up some money.

There’s several ways you can help me keep the lights on around here while also getting some benefits for yourself:
And if you want to help out but you can’t financially, sharing my video’s with other creatives helps out a lot too. In the end, it’s the thought that matters the most. So even if you want to support but you can’t, know that I still appreciate you for reading through this page and being a part of the Dreadlabs community. I’m incredibly grateful that I’ve been able to do this for 5 years as of writing this, and it’s thanks to you.
